This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility.
Duties include:
oPrepares Managed Care, Mass Health, Private Pay, Coinsurance and Patient Liability billingoSets up and maintains financial files for resident billing, admission papers, State and Medicare documentsoMeets with residents/families and assists in the Medicaid Application processoPerforms routine collection calls to Managed Care carriers and responsible parties oFollows up on outstanding balances, resolves issues and submits corrected claims when requiredoInputs documentation on all collection activity into PCCoPrepares daily censusoReviews Payor Source Verification forms and ensures the patients set-up in PCC is accurateoDirects processing of accounts receivable adjustments/refundsoPosts all cash receipts, scans all checks received by the facilityoEnters withdrawals and deposits into RFMSoAttends Medicare and Managed Care MeetingsoCompletes Rep Payee formsoUpdates PCC with any changes in PPAoManages the month-end process which includes:
o Data Entryo Census reconciliation o Balancing cash collectionso Reviews claims and edits as neededo Ensures all procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely month-end closeoOversight and processing of all accounts payableoOversight of weekday and weekend receptionistsoDistributers and audits Petty CashoMeets weekly with Administrator on past due Private and Medicaid Pending accountsoPrepares A/R and attends monthly meetingsoOpen and distributes mailoPerforms additional duties as assigned Requirements Include:
oMust have 1-3 years' experience managing the business office of a healthcare facility (SNF preferred)oPreferred experience with Point Click Care Software & ClaimremedioCandidates must be detail oriented with excellent computer skills Benefits Include:
