We are a non medical home care company.
There is no heavy lifting, you have one client only, ( Sometimes there may be couples care) Most of our clients need little to no assistance, just a lot of safety supervision.
We have all shifts open.
Most of our cases require every other weekend due to our clients needing assistance every day.
All applicants MUST have at least 6 months to 1 year of caregiving experience with the elderly or in a group home setting.
We offer weekly pay, overtime when available and health benefits for full time employees.
All benefits will be discussed on the interview.
Responsibilities:
- Assist elderly residents with daily activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, bathroom assistance and grooming.
- Medication reminders according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or reactions.
- Monitor residents' health and report any concerns or changes to the nurse or supervisor.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in conversation and activities.
- Assist with meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including regular housekeeping tasks.
- Ensure clients privacy and dignity are respected.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in elder care or a related field is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of basic first aid procedures is required.
(Must be CPR certified or willing to get certified within two weeks of hire) - Ability to lift heavy objects and assist residents with mobility as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
( Must be able to speak, read and write in English) - Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with elderly individuals.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from supervisors.
